This year Durbanville Beer Festival is back with a bang after two succesful years running. We still can't imagine hosting this event at any other venue than the prestigious Hillcrest Wine Estate. Hillcrest is home to the Quarry. The Quarry boasts beautiful rolling lawns and a crystal clear lake, the ideal spot to host a "Anything that Floats" race.
2011 saw 1,700 people flock to share in the experience, this year we expect a greater influx of people with showcasing more live bands, beer and food stalls. We want to create an atmosphere where entire families can come and join in on the fun, we will cater to entertain your kids.
Live rock and blues bands will keep all entertained with rock 'n roll DJs keeping the crowd rocking throughout the day while rivers of beer will keep your thirsts quenched. Full bar facilities will be available throughout the course of the event. Gates will open at 10am so that you can patch any holes in you homemade craft before you set sail, and will close down at 8pm as the Cape Town sun sets.
Bring the family along on 8 December 2012 for a great day out. This is also a great opportunity for corporates to host your year-end function or team building event.

"Anything that floats" Race
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is on board this year and will be raising funds with a, "Anything That Floats Race". Homemade, muscle powered craft with the maximum of six crew will compete on a demarcated course to become the 2012 Durbanville Beer Festival Champs. Entries can be submitted to : jackyv71@gmail.com
