UP Symphonic Winds in concert

The Winds of Change are upon us. Earlier this year, the University of Pretoria Wind Band had its inaugural concert, "The Winds of Time", now it is time for round two, "The Winds of Change".

The UP Wind Band is made up of vibrant young musicians from all faculties of the University of Pretoria who come together to create music with a fresh, groovy new sound.

Performing a repertoire from the contemporary classical, big band, classic rock and pop genres, audiences can look forward to excellent entertainment. Eddie Clayton, esteemed musical director and conductor of South African Tattoo, Tree Aan and Lied van my Hart fame, will be leading from the podium along with his right-hand man, Jaco van Staden, an up-and-coming young conductor.

The concert will be held in the Musaion at 3pm on 28 October 2012 and tickets will be available at the door at R60 for adults and R30 for students and pensioners. For more information call 012 420 4183/2947 or email upso@up.ac.za.
