Augmented reality workshop

You will have the chance to participate in a short workshop around Augmented Reality, introducing you to its possibilities and how it all works.

Always staying ahead of the game, Friends of Design offer Augmented Reality as part of their Game Technology Course. This technology has tremendous possibilities for all areas dealing with digital media and design - be it gaming, advertising, event design or others. If you would like to know more about Augmented Reality, and how it could improve your business, this workshop is not to be missed.

The workshop will consist of an evening lecture with a Q&A:

Friday 12 October 6.30pm to 8.30 pm |
This workshop will centre around a short introduction and lecture about Augmented Reality. Real Time examples with be played, followed by details as to how this technology works. There will also be a presentation as the process of preparing a project using the available technologies.

As this is a workshop, participants will be encouraged to ask questions and get involved, as we want you to take as much new knowledge out of this workshop as possible. At the end of the workshop there will be a Q & A session.

Outcomes of the Workshop |
The participants will learn about different uses of Augmented Reality, why it is a part of Game Technology and why it will be an important part of the digital media in the future. The participants will understand how this technology works, and whether they would be able to benefit from it, or if they wish to learn more about Game Technology.

Participating students will learn about new ways to apply the knowledge and skills gained since the beginning of the Game Technology and Multimedia entertainment course in February this year.
