The aim of the workshop is to assist entrepreneurs in increasing the equity of their business through effectively managing the financial facets
Finweek Magazine will be hosting a series of impactful two-day financial workshops for entrepreneurs who are serious about growing their business. Gary Oches, entrepreneur heavyweight, will present these workshops in Johannesburg, 24 to 25 October and in Cape Town, 7 to 8 November.
The aim of the workshop is to assist entrepreneurs in increasing the equity of their business through effectively managing the financial facets. These workshops will equip entrepreneurs with the need-to-know basics of financial management, with a strong focus on the risks faced when starting a business.
Research has shown that 80% of entrepreneurs fail due to a lack of basic financial skills and will fail at least 3.8 times before they succeed - says editor of Finweek, Marc Ashton.
As part of the active learning process, the workshop will be 90% practical application and 10% theory. This will ensure that the entrepreneurs can immediately and effectively implement what they learned in the workshop to their business.
Entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to build present and future valuations of their own business and based on this, will be advised on how they can increase the equity of their business.
