Adobe Illustrator

There is not one program that can "do it all". A combination of programs is needed in order to achieve a successful result.

The essence to learning a computer program - correct use of the tools. In eight lecture sessions you can master the use of the Illustrative program in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Whilst page layouts can be done using this program, it is primarily intended to be used for the design of all artwork to be used. For example, if one required logos, shapes, etc. they would be generated in Illustrator.

These elements would then be imported into either Photoshop or Indesign, depending on the format of your final document. Using this program, generation of shapes, logos, brushes are but a few of the many exercises that the students complete.

In summary, illustrator handles illustrations and logos etc. All the new features of Illustrator CS6 will be covered such as the new appearance panel, improved artboards panel, new gradient strokes, new pattern creation, graphs and patterns. Adobe Ideas for iPad will be demonstrated. This program interfaces with Adobe Illustrator.
