Home is where the Art isThe perfect pairing of fine art and furniture comes under the spotlight when the Marc Alexander exhibition opens at Knight Fine furniture and Décor in Tygervalley Chambers in Willie van Schoor Ave, Tyger Valley. The exhibition "Home is where the Art is" opens on Friday 28 September and runs until December and shows the skilful marriage of art in room settings; the viewer seeing how Marc's paintings bring their environment to life. Marc's paintings offer traditional realism and his eye for detail is legendary. His versatility in depicting animals, nature, people and scenes is evident. His work is mainly in richly coloured oils incorporating the lustre of gold leaf. A walkabout with the artist will take place on Saturday 29 September from 10am to 4pm at Knight Fine Furniture and Décor, Tyger Valley Chambers, Willie van Schoor Avenue, Tyger Valley, Cape Town.
