IIJ/IAJ Summer Academy: Freedom and ResponsibilityCall for applications. The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ), South Africa's premier provider of short courses and residency programmes for journalists, communicators and media practitioners, and the International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) of GIZ - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - based in Berlin, Germany invite young journalists to apply for a two-week training course on: The programme addresses young journalists from newspapers, news agencies, online media and radio stations in the SADC region. The course will be conducted in English at the IAJ's campus, Johannesburg, South Africa. The course aims at promoting media freedom and journalistic ethics and thus enhance the quality of journalism in media houses in the SADC region. 15 participants will be admitted. They should have at least two years of professional experience on the job.
