Rang to dazzle with colourful Indian dance

Jazzy Masala Creative - the producers that brought you Armaan, Naach and Desh ya Pardes - are bringing their best dance spectacular yet to The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in October this year. Called Rang, this amazing show features dazzling choreography by Versha Magan, Douglas Sekete and Thulane Chauke.

Rang is a pulsating, colourful musical journey through Indian classical, Bollywood contemporary, jazz and hip-hop dance. It is a product of the creative talents of Versha Magan, an accomplished choreographer, dancer, teacher, actor and talent manager with an impressive CV.

Apart from her own productions, her repertoire includes productions such as Garum Masala for the FNB Dance Umbrella, collaboration on the FIFA 2010 World Cup opening ceremony and choreography for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup promos. Versha has also made on screen appearances in the ever-popular South African soapie Isidingo and in Leon Shuster's Mr Bones II.

Versha has laboured tirelessly on her latest brainchild and feels that this is the pinnacle of her career: Rang is a culmination of my more than 30 years of experience as a dancer, dance coach, choreographer and actor , and showcases all of these talents in one production - she says.
