Technical report writing

One of the most popular courses, Technical Report Writing that is taught nowadays will be presented on 4 and 5 September 2012.

The Technical Report Writing course covers the essential elements of an introduction, the presentation of hypotheses and solutions in readable, clear language and the construction of conclusions and recommendations. In addition, it teaches delegates how to construct effective Executive Summaries, which are becoming increasingly important in modern Technical Reports. A segment of the course also deals with language issues for those whose mother tongue is not English.

The Technical Report Writing course was developed in conjunction with the CSIR in 2002, following a need for engineers and scientists to present theses and solutions in a business report writing format. It gained immediate popularity and has been taught there for 10 years.

This course has been taught to engineers and researchers far afield, including mines in Zambia, the CSIR in Ghana and numerous engineering/mining companies in South Africa. These companies include the likes of TWP, AGA and Arup.

This course has been validated with two CPD points with SAICE.
