One Voice - An African CelebrationAn African Celebration at The Lyric promises an entertaining evening for the family. One Voice: An African Celebration of musical diversity for the whole family will play at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino for one night only on 27 September. Presented by MTN in collaboration with BTE VO1SS, One Voice is an evening of diverse music featuring BTE VO1SS, VO1SS Opera Chorus and six dancers. BTE VO1SS will take the audience on a musical odyssey through styles and genres as diverse as pop, opera and African contemporary. The programme will include popular songs from artists such as Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Vicky Sampson, Toto, Elton John, Miriam Makeba and Koos du Plessis. The line-up will consist of solos, duets and ensemble works. Graham Scott will conduct members of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO). He is also responsible for the vibrant orchestral arrangements. Marcus Desando directs this showcase of colour and rhythm with choreography by Luyanda Sidiya. *Show takes place on 27 September 2012 at 20:00.
