Duos delight at Bay Harbour MarketIt's all about double acts at Bay Harbour Market this weekend with three exciting duos to delight your aural senses. On Friday August 3, Neil van der Walt takes to the stage with his repertoire of popular African songs and rhythms. Neil is a well-known bassist from the Garden Route who has performed with the likes of Steve Newman, Robin Auld and Wendy Oldfield. His creative use of live overdubbing and looping certainly makes for an exciting performance. Joining long-time friend Neil on stage for the first time is accomplished musician Alex Bozas. A great fan of Zulu-style guitar, Alex brings a fresh blend of instrumental guitar music to the fore. This is one duo you don't want to miss! On Saturday August 4, eclectic jazz band Nossa Vida entertains audiences with their blend of well-known jazz standards, bossa novas, Spanish guitar pieces, originals and Portuguese traditional songs. The acoustic guitar duo, comprised of Keith Macfarlane and Alan Bowen (Father and son-in-law), is no stranger to the stage and should leave Bay Harbour attendees suitably impressed. Ending the weekend off on Sunday afternoon are guitar maestros Dan Boshoff and Jimi Curve. This acoustic and bass guitar duo draw on a range of folk, reggae and world influences including classic Southern African coastal music such as Tananas or the Goema Captains. In addition to live music on the Brampton Sound Stage, Bay Harbour will launch the Bay Harbour Comedy Supper Club on Wednesday August 1 featuring popular funny men Rob van Vuuren, Marc Lottering and Mum-z. With mouth-watering meals on offer and a roaring fire place to keep the heat up, the event promises to be a huge success! All proceeds will be donated to Who CARES. The Bay Harbour Market showcases over 100 unique stalls featuring arts, crafts, fashion, decor and delicious cuisine.
