Digital strategy in building brands

This short course explores the role and scope of digital strategy or eMarketing in building brands. The myriad of eMarketing tools and tactics are investigated in terms of their efficiency in the branding business, marketing and communications strategies.

The primary purpose of this 10-week programme is to offer delegates the opportunity to develop both theoretical and practical competence in the broader field of branding and marketing while being exposed to real-life case studies and brand-solution based problems. Applied competence in the field of broad branding and marketing will be developed by means of applying theories and principles to real-life case studies.

Furthermore, students will develop the ability to integrate knowledge from the fields of brand and marketing management, and should gain a deep and systematic understanding of current thinking, practice, theory and methodology within the area of brand building and marketing.

The programme focuses on the development of applied competence within the area of leadership and innovative thinking within a brand-building and marketing environment. This programme necessitates an interrogation of the current innovative economy and offers a deep and systematic understanding of current thinking, practice, theory and methodology in brand building and marketing as an area of specialisation.

Balancing study and work can be tricky, but our short learning programmes are designed to be short enough to digest easily, whilst still taking a specialist approach.

Introduction to eMarketing and overview of the Digital Landscape

Theme 2:
Principles in crafting a successful eMarketing strategy for building valuable relationships with consumers taking CRM and the Law on Privacy into consideration.

Theme 3:
New Media channels with focus on eMarketing tools and Digital Media Law

Theme 4:
Consumer Generated Media and Social Media, Online Reputation
Management and Web PR

Theme 5:
Web sites, micro sites and search engines

Theme 6:
Integrated Digital Marketing

Theme 7:
Sustainability, trends, the future for the Digital Landscape and how organisations must change to respond to the Innovation Economy.
