Strategic finance and value creation
The link between strategy and finance is central to business decision making. In this programme we will consider several aspects of how strategy and finance can interact, and how value can be created in the process. The main focus will be upon corporate finance and value creation.
Core programme contents will include:
• reviewing corporate valuation fundamentals
• understanding and discussing issues surrounding continuing value, capital structure and the cost of capital
• applying various valuation tools
• applying issues relating to capital structure and risk
• understanding value creating through leverage, spin-offs and asset disposals
• re-structuring of failing companies.
