Join AMASA (Advertising Media Association of South Africa) at its February panel discussion where it hosts the MDDA (Media Development and Diversity Agency) to debate the pending community advertising legislation. The Government Communication and Information Systems (GCIS) is suggesting that 5% of any community media ad spend must be committed to a predetermined list of media, as defined by MDDA.
How will being forced to use advertising that wouldn't normally be selected, affect media strategy and planning? How has the GCIS defined community spend? What are the benefits to the industry? How have these media owners qualified to be on the predetermined list?
The forum takes place on Wednesday 1st February, where the MDDA will present their case around the pending legislation, followed by a Q&A session open to the audience. Following the forum, the MDDA will take sentiments of the industry back to the GCIS as a suggested way forward.
In order to examine the legislation from all angles, make sure your opinion is heard - do not miss out on this pinnacle debate! Seats are limited so please arrive early to get a seat.
