Join us for a free cup of tea at Mozart Academy, a new school for children with special needs, 21 January 2012 at 11:00, 251 Veronica Road, Magalieskruin.
The Mozart Academy was established in 2012 in Pretoria, north of the Magaliesberg, South Africa. It is a non-profit company that started off as a means of creating a school to fulfill a need that was identified by speech and occupational therapists, as well as parents of kids with global developmental delays.
It was soon realised that a great need existed for such a school that incorporated the normal school curriculum with the programs developed by the speech and occupational therapists during normal therapy sessions.
By incorporating the therapy concepts, ideas and techniques, directly into the school curriculum, the kids receive a more holistic approach to their development and education.
Through the creation of a unique program for each individual, the intention is that these kids eventually outgrow the school and be incorporated into a main stream school.
The Mozart Academy also has the ambitious goal of uplifting the community in general. These include concepts and ideas, such as support groups for parents with kids with special needs, training of adults with special needs, cooperation with other institutions with similar goals and ideals, etc.
Please come and join us Saturday to learn more about the school over a cup of tea.
Kind regards from Mozart Academy
