Elizabeth Arden Sun Protection for Summer Campaign

The Elizabeth Arden Sun Protection for Summer campaign kicks off on Monday 26 December at the V&A Waterfront and heads to Camps Bay beach on 28, 29 and 30 December in Cape Town. To generate awareness, the campaign will also create a gigantic number eight on the beach using yellow sun umbrellas. The 800 square metre number represents the Elizabeth Arden famous 8 Hour Cream. The image will reinforce the importance of protecting your skin this summer. Samples of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Sun Defense SPF 50 will be handed out to beachgoers during the course of the campaign.

Beach-goers and holiday makers can be assured that even when they are in the hottest and most dangerous place for the sun burn to start, on the beautiful beaches of coastal South Africa, there are teams in place to educate, inform and consult on all aspects of sun damage and encourage you to look after your precious skin out and in the sun.

The campaign, together with Look Good, Feel Better (the beauty company's local and global charity partner) will be hosting consultations, hand massages and prize and sample giveaways on the mother city's beaches as well as riding the streets of Cape Town on yellow vintage bicycles, encouraging the young and old to protect themselves against the mighty South African sun.

The charity partner, Look Good... Feel Better (based locally and abroad), which is also supported by Elizabeth Arden international, will be there to give out information and host workshops on the beaches. The cosmetic-industry funded charity program helps women cancer patients, undergoing active treatment, by providing free beauty workshops through a network of hospitals, oncology clinics and interim homes, specially designed to assist these women in managing their appearance related to cancer therapy side-effects, helping to restore their appearance and self image.

Look out for the yellow-painted vintage bicycles throughout the city, not only handing out sun awareness information and free sunscreen but they also hold the city's top eight and best-kept secrets. Grab a flyer and find out where the locals like to surf, where to indulge in the most magnificent sushi, the place for perfect cocktails and sunsets or somewhere off the beaten track where you can gaze at the stars.
