Third annual BMF young professionals summit

Youth prospects in the new normal - post the economic recession

SA's young professionals, in both the private and public sectors alike, are being disproportionately affected in this environment and the Summit will bring together business influencers from all sectors of society - labour, government and mainstream business - who will inform SA's young professionals about opportunities, pending and future legislation, policy issues and prospects.

In an economic environment that has many more people competing for fewer jobs, youth are often squeezed. The challenge is how do young professionals respond and adapt.

The Summit will investigate how South Africa will address this and other challenges through presentations by Mr Dumisani Kumalo, Former South African Ambassador to the UN; Ms. Ansie Ramalho, CEO of the Institute of Directors South Africa; Mr. Tito Mboweni, Chairman of Nampak amongst other speakers.

The summit will host three heated panels discussion on the topics South Africa's Economic Growth Path, Economic and Social Emancipation, Youth as epicentre of African Development.

Some of the panelists include Mr. Julius Malema, President of the ANC Youth League and Mr Zwelinzima Vavi, General Secretary of COSATU and Mr. Steven Ngubeni, CEO: National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and Mr. Charl Oberholzer, National Chairperson, AfriForum Youth as well.
