Transport Africa awardsThe only award ceremony in Africa that recognises leaders and innovators in the rail road and ports sector. Taking place during the 14th Africa Rail Conference and Exhibition, the ceremony, now in its 14th year, will be hosted by Gareth Cliff. Siemens is the title sponsor for this year's Transport Africa Awards which will comprise of ten categories, each with three finalists. Each category is judged based on specific criteria, such as individuals who have gone the extra mile to ensure the growth and success of their company together with a positive impact on Africa's transport sector; a company that has consistently enhanced the way in which their organisation has procured goods and services; development and implementation of sustainable procurement policies and processes in supply chains; and "out-of-the-box" solutions to tangible problems for effective functioning of their organisations.
