4th Making CSI Matter ConferenceLet your voice be heard at Trialogue's Making CSI Matter Conference As an event that attracts thought-leaders, dynamic speakers, and the best perspective-sharing in the industry, the annual Trialogue Making CSI Matter Conference has secured a place on the corporate calendar as a must-attend event for all CSI and development practitioners. Every year, delegates come away enriched with new knowledge derived from case study examples and perspectives from a range of different stakeholders. Corporate CSI practitioners, NGOs and government representatives from the social development space will come together to engage in discussions on the application of CSI in today's socio-economic context. In addition to scrutinising established and emerging CSI trends, delegates will get the chance to interrogate the successes, challenges and lessons emerging across numerous developmental areas. Each day comprises a rich programme that includes esteemed speakers and this year there will be an even stronger emphasis on highly participative breakaway engagement sessions. Twelve development issues will be explored within the breakaway sessions over the two days. In each breakaway, presentations by organisations involved in the selected area will provide new perspectives, followed by facilitated discussion. Six pressing development issues will be scrutinised at the breakaway sessions each day. For instance, on day one we will review the national food security road map and identify the way in which various role players can contribute. We will interrogate models for improving learner performance ranging from school interventions to supplementary learning and the relocation of learners. Effective delivery at a local level can be challenging, so a practical case study will explore methodologies for assisting projects working within specific communities. At the end of the first day delegates will socialise and enjoy the drinks and snacks provided at our popular cocktail party. This networking platform enables delegates to engage with peers and other practitioners, and build a network from the multi-stakeholder pool that will be represented. Day two breakaway engagement sessions will explore a further six developmental issues including, among others, an examination of the major sources of development funding in the country and the status and pressing issues facing the non-profit sector. A wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience will be provided by the speakers and panelists. Just a few of the contributors that you can look forward to include: Dr Nomsa Masuku from Standard Bank; Ntjantje Ned the CEO of the Hollard Foundation; Dr Pandelani Mathoma from Old Mutual; Dean Hand from GreaterCapital; Dr Vincent Maphai of SAB; Jerushah Rangansami of Impact Consulting; and Dr Miriam Altman, Executive Director of the HSRC. The fee for corporate and government delegates is R5 700 (excl. VAT) while non-profit organisations (NPOs) pay R2 950 (excl. VAT). As delegates from previous years will attest, this is a valuable event that shouldn't be missed. Be sure to book your seat at what promises to be an inspiring, informative and engaging conference.
