Econet simcards have become the latest commodity not readily available in Zimbabwe but to flood markets in neighbouring countries.
The lines have resurfaced in South Africa where they are fetching a minimum of R300 in the Johannesburg black market.Mostly available are the company's popular prepaid and prepaid-contract lines.
The lines are proving popular among Zimbabwe-bound travellers who are saved from the hassles of queuing for the scarce commodity in their homeland.
