2010 - Year for Implementing the New Companies Act

The new Companies Act, 2008 has been signed by the President and published in the Gazetter 32121 of 9 April 2008.

The Act will come into operation during the course of this year. From the effective date of the new Act, companies will have a two year "phaswe in period" during which they need to make sure of full compliance with all aspects of the Act.
