What do men want?

Buying gifts for men can be a tricky situation. While most men prefer gifts they can actually use, the traditional stand-bys (such as clothing, hardware and gadgets) sometimes leave much to be desired. MenScience Androceuticals recently hosted an online poll to find out what men really want...

Other gift options recently gaining attention are skincare and grooming products. Modern trends reflect the growing number of men who are taking an active interest in how to maintain a great appearance, but many of them still do not have the time to discover the right products or have experience using them.

MenScience Androceuticals', online supplier of men's skin care, grooming and nutritional supplements, online poll discovered a little more about what types of gifts men would most like to receive:

* 75% prefer useful gifts, as opposed to unique or funny ones
* 97% of men polled would enjoy receiving high-end men's grooming products as a gift
* Only 8% found every gift they received in the past five years to be useful
* 50% believe they are difficult to get gifts for, but 40% agree that the most difficult person they must buy a gift for is their spouse or significant other (male friends follow next, beating out parents, female friends and siblings)

Based on these results, MenScience projects that skincare and grooming items will continue to rise in popularity as men's gift options for the upcoming holiday season.
