South Africa wins three statues at London International AwardsAt the 2015 London International Awards, held in Las Vegas, South Africa picked up three Statues and two Finalists. ![]() The Design and Package jury awarded two Bronze LIAs for Lowe Cross Colours, Johannesburg. A Bronze in Design - Brand Identity - Local for Dr. Sweetooth and a Bronze in Package Design - Product Line for the same client. The Radio & Audio Jury awarded a Silver LIA in Direction to DDB South Africa, Johannesburg for Skittles titled "Opera." It also attained Finalist status in Radio & Audio - Use of Music for Skittles titled "Disney." Y&R South Africa, Johannesburg attained Finalist status in Design - Direct Marketing - Consumer Campaign for Johannesburg Zoo titled "Night Tours - Wild Dog", "Night Tours - Panda", "Night Tours - Owl", "Night Tours - Lion." BBDO Proximity Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur was awarded the Poster Grand LIA for KFC titled "Burger", "Drumstick", "French Fries" 'Of The Year Awards'2015 LIA 'Of The Year Awards' were decided based on a point system on the outstanding work chosen by the juries across all media. This year LIA awarded five of these coveted Awards.
Agency of the Year: R/GA, New York Of the 14,106 submissions from 78 countries, 7% attained shortlist status. Of those elite selections, only 1.2% were awarded Gold Statues; 1.6% Silver Statues; 2% Bronze Statues and 2.1% Finalist. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986, when only 2,600 submissions were entered.
