Cableway Charity Challenge raises over R964k as Cape Town shows up

The 17th edition of the Cableway Charity Challenge drew hundreds to Table Mountain, raising over R964,000 so far for four beneficiaries: SANParks Honorary Rangers, Ubuntu Football Academy, Volunteer Wildfire Services, and Wilderness Search and Rescue.

Top performers included George Nuttall and Steph van Gelderen (most laps), with Team Cometa and Rondebosch Boys’ High School winning their categories. Highlights included 17-year-old Nuttall matching the record of nine laps, Achmat Jackson completing his 15th event, and AJ Calitz setting the fastest lap time.

Overall, the event showcased Cape Town’s strong culture of giving and outdoor enthusiasm.
