Africa Tech Week Awards 2025 celebrates innovationThe 7th annual Africa Tech Week Awards, held on 3 June 2025 during the Sentech Africa Tech Week conference, celebrated the continent’s top tech innovators. Hosted by comedian Alan Committie, the black-tie event featured a keynote by Hon. Solly Malatsi, Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, who emphasised the importance of recognising progress in South African and African tech. The evening recognised standout achievements in categories like fintech, edtech, AI, healthtech and digital transformation. Winners included LEMI App (Start-up), Old Mutual (Tech Impact), Etapath (Digital Transformation), XLink (Technology Company of the Year), PaySolutions (Security Technology), and WeThinkCode_ (EdTech), among others. Individual awards went to remarkable tech figures including Xoliswa Kakana (Women in Tech), Trishen Moodley (Leader of the Year), and Oscar Molaba (Tech Founder of the Year).
