Porn story - 25 Mar 2013

Porn story - Mon, 25 Mar 2013TopTV CEO Eddie Mbalo says the pornography the pay channel is applying to screen will tell stories that couples can enjoy together, but apparently neither he or his wife will be enjoying the 'stories' because, as he says, "I'm not interested. I'm a married man and I don't watch porn."

So does this mean that only unmarried couples will bother watching? So poor old Fred and Alice (she's watched his six-pack develop into a beer barrel and he's watched his only investment double and turn into a clone of his mother-in-law) probably won't bother with watching porn?

Shame, one might think the very people who need a bit of encouragement are people like Fred and Alice.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Communications Minister Dina Pule says the "smear campaign" against her will fail and the mud won't stick. She is fighting off claims that her lover appointed friends and family to organisations she controls.

On the advertising front, small publications are battling to attract advertising spend from media buyers, but it's suggested that if they band together in their respective regions, that will give them a stronger voice.

Africa has lost one of its literary giants, and Nobel laureate Nadine Gordimer, in hailing the late Chinua Achebe, says we should read Achebe's books - we'll learn a lot.

Shame, first it was a letter regarding Nkandla and now former SABC Board member Pippa Green's resignation letter doesn't seem to have reached the Presidency... Well, there's apparently no record of Green's resignation. A victim on the postal strike in Gauteng?

It's all pretty academic now though, isn't it - since the interim board has been appointed and there's no Green in it?
