Wholesale trade sales down 0.7% in April
Wholesale trade sales decreased 0.7% year on year (y/y) in April compared with a 6% rise y/y in March‚ Statistics SA data showed on Thursday, 19 June 2014.

Sales were measured in real terms using constant 2012 prices.
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 1.1% in April 2014 compared with March 2014. This followed month-on-month changes of -4.7% in March 2014 and -0.2% in February 2014.
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales decreased by 1.2% in the three months ended April 2014 compared with the previous three months.
Measured in nominal terms ‚ wholesale trade sales increased by 7.9% in April 2014 compared with April 2013.
Wholesale trade sales increased by 12.9% in the three months ended April 2014 compared with the three months ended April 2013.
