Rural municipalities includng Chris Hani, OR Tambo, Mvezo, Mhlontlo, Lusikisiki in the former Transkei; and Impendle, Sisonke and Umkhanyakude in KwaZulu-Natal are like to get new FET colleges

Speaking at a Seta forum in Rosebank, Johannesburg, Nzimande said he expected that all 50 FET colleges would have Seta offices by the end of March, despite financial and infrastructure challenges.

"Setas need to work hard to overcome the challenges they face if South Africans are to reap the fruits of freedom," he said.

Nzimande said that 30 of these offices had already been set up.

"FET graduate placements, internships and learnerships would remain among Seta's priorities in the coming months," Nzimande added.
