("What is burlesque, you ask? Well, my dear, quite frankly, burlesque is the *art of the tease*... That is, it's sort of like stripping, but with taste and tassels - and without the 'tart'. Expect fans, feathers, glitter and glamour dished out with a sprinkling of humour and just a *little* nudity... So bring the girlfriends, the husband, the wife, and the boys... But leave the kids at home in bed!")
~Over the past two years, Bronwyn Ruth Williams (Owner of Mechant & Gentil Lingerie) and Miss Oh! have created a platform for those new to the burlesque scene, to perform their piece of mini theatre live on top trendy Johannesburg stages. ... The Tournament of Tease, launched in 2013, is a monthly revue showcasing the burlesque talents of tomorrow.
