Less than ten days to go until Drumbeat

In less than ten days, the long-awaited Toyota Corolla Drumbeat music concert will showcase outstanding South African talent in a not-to-be-missed concert at the Soweto Theatre. Changes to this year's event include improved venue layout across three outdoor stages and two additional artists to its all-star line-up.

Artists Funi and Tresor Riziki will join the incredible line-up of jazz legends Jonas Gwangwa and Paul Hanmer, soulful house trio Mi Casa, SAMA winners Toya Delazy and AKA, and the king of hip-hop Cassper Nyovest.

Riziki, an award-winning and multi-platinum selling DRC-born singer and songwriter, cites music as his first language. Having performed alongside the likes of Eddie Grant, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Freshlyground, Prime Circle, Vusi Mahlasela, Lira, HHP, and Johnny Clegg, his debut single, Com-plete, received rave reviews and was picked up by major radio and TV stations across Africa.

A capacity crowd of over 5,000 music fans filled the Soweto Theatre in 2014 to celebrate the best in local music, and Drumbeat organisers are encouraging music-lovers to book tickets soon to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost R160 per person and are on sale at www.computicket.com.

This one-night-only Drumbeat concert is presented by Toyota Corolla and DRUM, in association with White Star Super Maize Meal, Kaya FM and Mzansi Magic Music.
