Free workshops - for first time home buyers
Identifying a need to assist young homebuyers, The Property Coach (TPC) will run a series of free workshops, to guide them in sorting out their credit rating and financial situations before looking for property. These will be run by Mercia De La Cruz of TPC.
Topics that will be covered at these workshops will include assessing a credit history and clearing bad scores, problems with bond applications and how to fix them, financial aspects of owning a home, what is needed, i.e. insurance, etc. and many other topics that is not taught at school and many buyers get thrown in "at the deep end" when they want to buy and suddenly have a lot of information they have to assimilate, said De La Cruz.
First time buyers will particularly find these sessions useful as they will then be fully prepared as to what they have to do and what is needed for their first home purchase, she said.
The workshops will run on a monthly basis at the Institute of Estate Agents Western Cape training centre in Sheldon Way, Pinelands, and will commence on 30 September 2015. They will run from 6.30 to 7.30pm and will include a question and answer session, for particular problems to be addressed.
