From the 5th to the 8th of May 2011, the Greenpoint Cricket grounds will be transformed into a culinary playground of Cape Town's top restaurants, wineries and producers and Barcode will be teaming up with a host of premium local producers featuring Jorgensen's Distillery, Darling Breweries, ⋃ Birkenhead and Camel Thorn and many more to present the true taste of Cape Town!
Cape Town's foodie elite will be treated to a world class collection of locally produced artisanal spirits, micro-brewed beer and craft cocktails created by some of the country's top bartenders and a range of entertainment including cocktail demonstrations and tastings of small batch products from some of the Cape's finest craft distillers and brewers.
The stand will be headed by award winning Barcode mixologists Ryan Duvenage and Gareth Wainwright, who will be providing patrons with a chance to sample the finely crafted cocktails and signature service of the world class Barcode team. Included in the offering are a craft beer bar, winter warmers such as Glühwein and hot apple ciders to fend off the evening chills, as well as more traditional cocktails featuring spirits such as Field of Dreams Absinthe, Primitiv Vodka and Savignac Brandy from the Jorgensens Distillery. The Barcode team will also be joined by demonstrations from members of the Cape Flair Society ensuring a weekend jam packed full of the best drinks and entertainment that the industry has to offer!
With two enourmous Star Shade marquees, live demonstrations, the finest drinks prepared by the country's top bartenders and some of the best spirits and beers produced in the Cape, Barcode will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that patrons are never far from a great drink and a good time.
