The Freedom Park's vision is to be a leading national and international icon for humanity and freedom. Its mission is to provide a pioneering and empowering heritage destination that challenges visitors to reflect upon our past, improve our present and build on our future as a united nation.
The Touch Screen Application is the front end for a sophisticated “first of its kind” Heritage Management Platform, which allows visitors to the Park, to explore the features of the monument and the history of our nation from the perspective of the heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for Liberty and Freedom in a very engaging way.
SilverstoneCIS was contracted by Masana Technologies to design, develop and implement the solution for the Freedom Park Trust. The application was demonstrated on the 16th December 2006 to President Thabo Mbeki and Minister of Arts and Culture, Pallo Jordan in which we received the hand shake of approval! The Park will open to the Public in mid-2007.
