In addition to this collaboration, Inscape self-funds a further number of students to ensure that for every 20 paying students, one scholarship student is afforded an opportunity to further their studies in higher education.
There are currently 36 active scholarship students in the system, totaling R4.6 million in educational funding.
Applications to the programme surpassed the expectation of the institution and whilst the institution would have liked to assist more students it was just not viable. It was at this point that Helen Bϋhrs, Principal and Managing Director of Inscape Education Group, established a non-profit company, Inscape Exchange.
Inscape Exchange aims to attract possible funders who could assist the scholarship applicants and provide opportunities for quality education to economically disadvantaged individuals who have qualified and have the potential and will to succeed in the creative industry.
Inscape Exchange aims to motivate individuals to achieve to the best of their ability, academically and in all other aspects of their chosen field of study, providing mentorship in partnership with families, providing support and resources where the need arises and encouraging creativity and leadership to help build a prosperous and healthy nation.
