Inscape Education Group Teachers Conference

According to www.SouthAfrica.info, the government's newest strategy for turning education around is known as "Action Plan to 2014: Towards the Realisation of Schooling 2025", which aims to improve learning and the work of teachers.

Action Plan 2014 includes the new CAPS curriculum focussing on literacy and numeracy, the introduction of standardised assessments of grade three, six and nine to better track progress and strengthening of teacher education and development programmes, including funding for bursaries for trainee teachers.

As a private higher education institution, Inscape Education Group shows interest in the development and progression of primary and secondary learning environments. Inscape acknowledge that the foundational learning of their applicants is paramount to ensure success at a tertiary level.

The implementation of their Teachers Conference some years ago to support teachers in the creative sector experienced positive results. However, through hosting these relatively small and exclusive gatherings, Inscape have come to understand that access to additional support and learning is reserved for those teachers who are able to physically attend the functions due to transport and proximity factors.

Inscape are excited to announce that their Teachers Conference for 2016 will be taking on a new and improved approach to ensure that the invaluable information they are able to collect from relevant experts in various fields will be made available through an online platform custom designed to serve a much wider teachers market.

The 2016 Teachers Conference will focus on design thinking and creativity as a classroom management style.

Whilst at first impression, it could be assumed that this topic is reserved for those teachers directly involved in the arts and design subjects, this is not the case. This conference is suited to any teacher at any level, passionate about ensuring learning by harnessing the natural creative and thinking abilities of young people.

In commemoration of World Teachers Day on 5 October 2016, the teachers conference is scheduled to run from 3–5 October.

The virtual platform will allow teachers to participate in the conference from the comfort of their own classroom, office or home. Teachers will be able to access, view and interact with the content on the platform.
