Temporary Copywriter

About the job: WOW Marketing Services is seeking a creative, fast, and efficient temporary Copywriter to join our team from 2nd June to 6th July.
You will be responsible for creating compelling copy for various clients and campaigns, as well as drafting proposals.
The role is a collaborative one, copy and design team members work as a unit to deliver content” and “briefing includes multiple stakeholders including client representatives, audience members and campaign managers”

Objectives of this role:

• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload, often requiring quick turnaround times.
• Continually elevate creativity by writing fresh copy that resonates with the target audience and drives action.
• Adapt voice, style, and other characteristics to meet the demands of the industry, company, or target audience.
• Use of AI to assist in getting the job done

Daily and monthly responsibilities:

• Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts for campaigns
• Research and understand client needs and target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with programme coordinators, and in-person meetings.
• Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communication materials.
• Present copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team.
• Revise copy based on internal and client feedback and direction.

Requirements:

• Office-based in Cape Town.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work.
• Exceptional writing and research skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
