Senior Developer

A leading international technology consultancy is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to play a key role in modernizing large-scale enterprise financial platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact digital transformation projects, driving the migration of legacy .NET systems into scalable, future-ready Java-based architectures. The role offers close collaboration with global engineering teams and UK-based clients within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, with full-time onsite engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead backend development initiatives using C#/.NET and Java/J2EE
• Drive the migration of legacy .NET systems to modern Java-based architectures
• Design and develop secure, scalable enterprise financial applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage directly with client stakeholders
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud deployments across AWS and Azure
• Mentor and support junior developers while promoting engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and Java/J2EE
• Solid experience with SQL and large-scale datasets
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Degree in computer science or a related field
• Previous consulting or client-facing experience is advantageous
