Goods transported by land increase 3.4% in August

The volume of goods transported by land (payload) increased by 3.4% in August 2014 compared with August 2013.

The corresponding income increased by 7.5% over the same period.

Income from freight transport increased by 10.1% in the three months ended August 2014 compared with the three months ended August 2013.

The number of passenger journeys decreased by 5.5% in August 2014 compared with August 2013. The corresponding income increased by 5.5% over the same period.
