TCM's Pop Up Cinema

Pop Up Cinema is a film screening concept in South Africa which allows people to immerse themselves into the very heart and soul of film. It's free, it's strictly limited and it encourages people to enjoy movies in a completely different way.

Thursday 12th May witnessed the transformation of the Mother City as TCM's Pop Up Cinema descended on Cape Town to host the second Pop Up Cinema movie event. The evening's theme was Viva Las Vegas and the lucky players who secured a seat at the event came attired in a glittering array of Vegas-style outfits.

Guests walked the crimson carpet into the lavishly decorated venue and entered a world of high stakes and even more deadly glamour. Black jack and roulette tables, gleaming classical cars and scantily clad Go-Go Dancers completed the setting. Cape Town's Vaudeville had been transformed into a scene from Viva Las Vegas!
