GMA High Tea and Golf Day

Over 700 of Gauteng's top celebrities, entertainers and business owners joined Jacaranda FM in a Gatsby-themed afternoon to contribute to the station's Good Morning Angels Charity cause.

The event which saw a high tea and golf day run simultaneously at the Wingate Country Club in Pretoria's Moreleta Park suburb, had guests dress up for an afternoon of 1920s-themed decadence.

Members of the public were invited on air to purchase high tea tables at R 10 000 for ten people, while golf enthusiasts could take on the likes of Kurt Darren, Albie Morkel, Altus Theart, Heinz Winckler and Victor Matfield on the greens at R 4 000 per four-ball. All the funds raised on the day will go to further helping those in need in 2014 through the Good Morning Angels initiative. Jacaranda FM confirmed that over R 900 000 was raised through ticket sales and prize auctions.
