Challenges and opportunities

On the agenda will be discussions on challenges and opportunities facing the tourism sector, the effective use of using social media, innovative marketing and capitalising on new developments such as voluntourism, adventure travel and eco-tourism.

This year the conference targets SMMEs in the greater travel and tourism sector and will be particularly valuable to B&B and lodge owners, travel agents, tour operators, rangers and other similar operators, adds Behr.

The conference takes place alongside the Gauteng Getaway Show, which runs from 31 August - 2 September at the Dome in North Riding.
