SA Cultural Observatory National Conference 2017The conference seeks select international, national and local perspectives on the interface between the creative economy and development. The creative and culture industries (CCIs) contributes approximately 2.9% to South Africa's GDP and employs close to 450,000 people. The conference will gather together researchers working and interested in the sectors and industries and profile insights, trends, research, analysis and case studies to showcase the depth of South Africa's creative economy and profile its potential. The conference will take place on 24 and 25 May 2017, at the Turbine Hall in Johannesburg, South Africa. The conference organisers are accepting abstracts until 5pm on Saturday 31 March 2017.
