Parkview Christmas charity market
The Parkview Charity Christmas Market has become a fixture on many a Joburger's calendar, especially for its amazing atmosphere, quality crafted Christmas goods, music and fun for the whole family.
Among all the festive cheer, though, many are unaware that by attending the market they are
helping to support over 30 projects that fall under Nicarela Charity, an NGO that betters the lives of many less fortunate people, especially children.
The initiatives under the Nicarela umbrella are active all over South Africa and other parts of Africa, like Zimbabwe. The Parkview Christmas Market not only lends its support financially, but creates employment each festive season. Learners attending local schools in the Parkview area are supported by Nicarela, as is the sizable contribution to the maintenance of the George Hay Park.
