The Durban-based band Gangs of Ballet's members: Brad Klynsmith (vocals/electric guitar), Jonathan Rich (keyboard/synth), Hardus de Beer (bass guitar) and Josh Klynsmith (drums/vocals) have combined their various individual tastes and styles to create a sound that is captivatingly fresh. Their music is a combination of their vibrant energy experiments with an eclectic mix of alternative, melodic, anthemic, electronic and dance.

After their debut gig opening for aKing in April, 2011,they released their debut single, Breaking The Silence, in September, which quickly climbed its way up the charts to secure a spot on 5FM's Top 100 Hottest Hits of 2011. They released their debut eponymous EP in March, 2012.

Raw, stripped-down nature

The Rescu are a rock band. For the trio Mike Vaughan (bass player and front man), Graham Lowndes (guitar) and Nic Smal (drums) the mission is simple: rock the crowd with a big sound from start to finish and have a whole lot of fun doing it - and that's exactly what they have been doing since 2010. Part of the appeal of watching them live is the raw, stripped-down nature of the music and big sound. Their eponymous debut album was recorded at Heritage Sound Studios by Brendyn Rusti Rossouw. With the band now signed to Sheer music, the album was released in August, 2011.

The band has continued in 2012 with extensive radio and TV exposure, and with the release of the second single, Beautiful Life, The Rescu rolled out the Beautiful Life Tour; an interactive show comprising synchronised visuals and lights. They are currently back in the studio working on new tracks for a forthcoming album.

Multi-Platinum status

Switchfoot has achieved multi-Platinum status, having sold over four million albums and three million concert tickets worldwide and have a Grammy Award. The band has had three consecutive Top 10 hits on Modern Rock Radio. Their song Vice Verses debuted at number eight on the Top 200 Billboard Charts and number five on iTunes Top 200 Charts. Their album "The Beautiful Letdown" was RIAA certified 3X Platinum.

All tickets are via Computicket (www.computicket.com or 0861 915 8000). Tickets from R220 to R350.
