Charity car race to support JAM

On 7 December 2012, Liqui Moly South Africa will team up with Legend Cars South Africa to create a charity racing event with drivers such as Ben Morgenrood, Robbi Smith, professional drivers, celebrity drivers and drivers from the world of journalism.

The race format will be based on the concept of the world famous Race of Champions (ROC) held in Germany, with winners such as Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel. With two drivers on the same track, split into two lanes with a crossover point to ensure both experience exactly the same section of track at different times, the race is completed when each driver has completed a lap of each track and crossed the finish line.

Being held at the Rock Raceway in Brakpan, the event will support Joint Aid Management (JAM) South Africa, a non-profit organisation founded in 1984 that aims to feed one million children a day through school, thus providing nutrition as well as promoting education.

Realising their skills and dreams

"It would be great to give them all they need to realise their skills and talents and to live a self-determined life," said Melicia Labuschagne, GM of Liqui Moly South Africa. "We hope to raise a lot of money in order to help many children."

The spectators will not only enjoy thrilling racing but they may take a ride on the passenger seat, during the drifting session.

Potential sponsors of the racing cars, which will feature drivers in the sponsor's livery, can email az.oc.ylom-iuqil@majrofyenomot.
