World of Learning - Conference and Event VenueThe South African Breweries (SAB) Cyril Ramaphosa World of Learning (WOL) is a conference centre, manufacturing and training site in Kyalami, Johannesburg where both SAB staff and those from independent companies come for training. Situated on the banks of the Jukskei River on an 11.8 hectare site, WOL has been used as a technical training, learning and development facility for the past 24 years. The conference centre offers eight main training venues, six breakaway rooms and three boardrooms, while the hotel has 102 rooms - 50 single, 52 sharing - and four dormitories. Accommodation has a three star grading from the tourism grading council of South Africa, while the venues are graded a four-star MESE Conference Centre. There are four manufacturing workshops, for instrumentation, electrical and electronics, welding and mechanical fitting, as well as a brewhouse with a micro-brewery which can brew up to 5,000 litres, a packaging hall with a labeller machine and a SETA approved trade test centre where artisans and apprentices are tested by qualified and registered assessors. Outside of lecture venues, trainees can relax with a drink in the pub or games room, play a game of tennis, squash or basketball or enjoy a swim. Also based at WOL is an office park with 40 Human Resources development staff members, who are responsible for training SAB personnel throughout the company.
