The Sandton Craft Beer Fair at The Sands

The Sandton Craft Beer Fair (music and gourmet food) will be taking place at The Sands, Joburg, on Saturday, 8 February, 2014.Right in the heart of Sandton, this central location will be showcasing 11 breweries with over 40 beers and ciders, a beer-themed cocktail bar, some of SA's top DJs and bands, as well as a spread of gourmet food stalls.

South Africans come from a culture of beer drinking. We enjoy the workmanship, the taste and the design of the process. We find ourselves in the midst of a period when there are several microbreweries out there, but they are not easily available to the public. The Sandton Craft Beer Fair has been organised with that specific goal in mind - to present the opportunity to engage with those microbreweries.

Not only will there be craft beer to keep you busy, but also an array of gourmet food stalls prepared by trained vendors who pride themselves in cooking from fresh produce, ranging from meaty meals, vegetarian selections as well as Greek and Thai food. The famous Oyster Tequila Bar will be open and ready. Thirst Bar Services will be catering for less-inclined beer drinkers with a wide variety of beer-themed cocktails.
