Resistance to Info Bill to continue
NEWSWATCH: According to R2K, the proposed Protection of State Information Bill is still a draconian piece of legislation, reports IOL, while the ConCourt has found that certain provisions of the Films and Publications Act are unconstitutional and invalid, reports Mail & Guardian. Meanwhile, the organisers of Joburg Pride are not feeling "so lekker" towards Jacaranda FM, reports The Citizen.

- IOL: Info Bill remains draconian: R2K... R2K staged a protest march in Pretoria on Friday to reinforce their message that the contentious bill is flawed and must be withdrawn. Is anyone in the corridors of power listening? Anyone?
- Mail & Guardian: ConCourt upholds ruling on Film and Publications Act... If not, perhaps they need to look at what's happened to the Films and Publications Act - certain provisions of which have been found to be unconstitutional and invalid. The Info bill will also end up in the ConCourt if it is passed with contentious provisions in place.
- The Citizen: Joburg Pride's 'slap in the face'... Oh dear, the Joburg Pride's organisers are not happy after Jacaranda FM issued a statement to the effect that Pride was not "brand fit" with its (the station's) image.
