The Heart of Leadership - Motivation Through Recognition - skills development workshop

The Heart of Leadership, a two-day facilitated professional development workshop, explores Motivation Through Recognition and is designed to give leaders the understanding, tools and confidence they need to integrate recognition into everyday management practice.

Taking place August 30th to 31st at Achievement Awards Group Auditorium, 14 Stibitz street, Westlake, Cape Town.

The workshop consists of four modules, synthesized from the latest research and thinking on human behaviour and recognition.

Module 1: The Power of recognition

Define recognition and key concepts relating to recognition including employee motivation.

Module 2: Motivation

Through a pre-assessment online survey, identify leadership strengths and areas for improvement, focusing on recognition best practices.

Module 3: The 9 Requirements of Recognition

Identify, understand and apply the 9 Requirements of Recognition.

Module 4: Personal action plan and commitment

Apply the 9 Requirements of Recognition in real-life situations. Develop and commit to an action plan to help integrate recognition skills into daily practice.

The workshop will run from 8am - 5pm on both the 30th and 31st August 2012.

Each participant will receive a detailed guide for future reference.

This course is aligned to SSETA (Services SETA) SAQA Unit Standard 120389: Explain and apply the concept, principles and theories of motivation in a leadership context (NQF 4, credits 6).
