To enter, hopefuls must visit the Printing SA Facebook page and post a comment on the page explaining why they should be considered for this opportunity. Winners will be announced at the end of May. Entrants must be available to start the course in June 2018 to qualify for the prize.

Over and above this competition, Printing SA launched a new Foundational Learning Programme (FLP) on 2 May, which will run through to November this year. This particular new skills pool strategy will provide member companies with talented individuals who are eager to take up career opportunities in the Printing and Packaging Industry. Furthermore, Printing SA has received a grant from the FP&M SETA to fund 80 learners on the FLP this year. Notwithstanding this fact, member companies are encouraged to enroll learners on the FLP (or any component thereof) as part of their BBBEE Socio-Economic Development spend.

South Africa’s print and packaging industry is hard at work in helping develop the industry and is constantly on the lookout for ways and opportunities to create and grow employment opportunities within the industry, according to Steve Thobela, CEO of industry body, Printing SA.

For further information on skills pool bursaries which enable unemployed learners to develop marketable skills in the industry, or to apply for one, please send an application, together with a CV to gro.asgnitnirp@snraekc
